Panchayat
A Panchayat is a collective body of elected representatives formed to carry out the administrative functions of Panchayati Raj Institutions. In the case of a Grama Panchayat, it is the main committee responsible for implementing the decisions of the Gram Sabha and managing day-to-day governance.The main components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat. The President presides over meetings and supervises the overall functioning of the Panchayat.Vice President: Performs the duties in the absence of the President.Ward Members: Elected representatives from each ward of the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Formed to facilitate Panchayat decisions in areas such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education.

The main objective of this award is to encourage the best performance of local self-government institutions and make them more efficient. In the years 2017–18, 2018–19, 2019–20, and 2020–21, it was selected as the second-best Panchayat in the district and won the Swaraj Trophy.
